One year and three months since the last time we were in an ENSL final, we did what most sane people thought impossible: We won! Brushing aside The Sproggalots with a convincing 4-0 victory, we thoroughly proved that old school is indeed pro school. After losing 4-0 to The Sproggalots earlier in the season -- on the same maps! -- this was a true esports redemption. ENSL Season 10 champions, HUZZAH!
While I'm not going to go into details about what occured ingame, I will say that I'm extremely proud of the way we carried ourselves during the match. Not only did we display supreme individual skills, but most importantly: we played as a team. Even on our ns_veil marine round, where we struggled for a while, we were able to pull it together and take back control of the match, with some good coordination and proper teamwork. Everyone played extremely well, something a quick look at the scoreboard after each round will tell you. Rarely have I seen a team with such even scores over four rounds.
So who are these magnificent bastards I speak so highly of? dux, Fana, frG, mu, n44bj, Oetel, Peach, Pizza and sherpa! dux, n44bj and Pizza were unfortunately unable to play in the final itself, but were invaluable assets throughout the season and we couldn't have done it without them.
At some point there might be a match recap on the ENSL website. Unfortunately the shoutcast wasn't recorded. The HLTV demos are however available and worth watching for anyone who missed the action.
We're still not sure if we'll be participating next season, mostly because it's too far ahead to predict, but hopefully we will. I (Fana) will no longer be leading the team however, as my schedule won't permit the kind of activity needed to run, or play actively in, a team like this. Right now it looks like frG will be taking over the role as team leader, so best of luck to him.
