Veni, Vidi, Vici? Not quite.
A rocky start would probably better describe the experience, which was at times unpleasant. Two forfeit wins and one forfeit loss, out of six matches, will tend to do that to a tournament. Then again, it's online after all, what can you really expect? Our performance wasn't quite what I had hoped either, with two losses and a win in the matches we actually got to play. Losing can often teach you more than winning though, especially when you're a fledgling team like ourselves. Hopefully we'll be able to improve and perform better next time.
Despite the troubles, playing was fun -- as it always is -- and practicing for a goal has been a lot more fun than just practicing for the sake of practicing. In the end we managed to take the third place in our group, mostly due to some weird forfeits, which was unfortunately not good enough for a spot in the playoffs.
