ClanBase CS Opencup Fall 2007 qualifier |
Due to the extreme popularity of the CS Opencup, the organizers decided to implement qualifiers this year, to weed out the poorest (the fat noobs) teams before group play. Our merry band of ownerers (slim noobs) were of course also scheduled to qualify, against a team called Revoluted. Unfortunately there was a bit of a fudgeup, both on the side of our opponents and the organizers.
Apparently the team known as Revoluted had joined a multigaming organization called Sickness, and for some reason both Revoluted and Sickness got scheduled to play against different opponents in qualifier matches. We got scheduled against the old team, so that means we're most likely going to get a forfeit win and go through to the group stages. Of course we're happy that we're in the tournament, but it's quite the anti-climax after over a week of desperate nuke practice, a map many of us positively abhor.
